Product Overview
The Vscan Gateway Software v1.4.0 is used for Vscan, which is a battery operated pocket-sized general purpose ultrasound imaging system. Medical ultrasound images are created by computer and digital memory from the transmission and reception of mechanical high-frequency waves generated through a probe or transducer. The ultrasound waves spread through the body, producing an echo where density changes occur. The echoes return to the transducer where they are converted back into electrical signals, thus affecting the quality of images formed. The software in a Vscan device is divided into categories like Vscan Firmware, Vscan Installation Software (System and application software, board test, bootable for production PC) and Vscan Gateway Software. The Gateway is a PC application that is used together with the Vscan when the device is connected to a PC via docking station and USB. It is used to read and display images and movies from the scanner, playbacks the audio recorded, measures distance and area, appends images to an E-mail and copies examinations to the computer. A CD is provided with the gateway software for installing it into the PC.
