Product Overview

The Spring Compression Flat Rating Care Plus is a customized design compression spring intended for use in Ohio® Care Plus® Series 3000/4000 and Care Plus® Access Incubator and other medical equipment as applicable. The compression spring consists of a helical coils wound with gaps between them. The gaps are reduced and spring gets compressed when force is applied to its ends. This type of spring is used to keep the attached components apart. When the spring is in the extended position, it is meant to be at rest. It exerts force against the pushing force of components whenever they move towards each other. It provides resistance and also absorbs shocks and dampens the vibrations thus avoiding damage to the components and builds up the energy. It is provided as a part of the vaporizer manifold in anesthesia delivery system between the base and valve which resists the movement of the valve, thus delivering a specific amount of gas flow without any leakage. The product is made of high quality stainless steel that has excellent ductility, high elasticity and excellent yield strength which makes it well suited for many modern medical applications.
