Product Overview

A Fuse is an safety device used to protect an electrical circuit from higher current. It has a strip of wire that melts and breaks an electric circuit when the current exceeds a desired level. Regular fuses are always connected in series with components to be protect from overcurrent, so when the fuse blows (opens) it will open the circuit and stop any current through the components. Regular fuses do not allow for any spike over the current rating of the fuse. This fuse is a cartridge fuse with a glass tube and silver-plated caps on both ends. It is a fast acting full range fuse designed for the protection of discrete semiconductor devices and other electronic equipments. The part is compliant to RoHS, CSA and UL standards and it is approved for today’s safety standards. The product is tested to work at extreme atmospheric conditions. This fast acting fuse is compatible to be used in circuit boards of GE's X-Ray Systems.
