Product Overview

The Seal Kit Main Manifold is provided for the Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) system. It combines an absorber seal and bag/vent seal. The absorber seal is used for the absorber which is seated on the seal below the APL manifold. The bag/vent seal is used for the bag/vent switch in the manifold. The absorber seal is present in the bottom plate of main manifold. The bag seal is inside body of main manifold. In manual ventilation, gas flows from the bag, through the absorber, through the bag/vent manifold into the breathing circuit module, and through a unidirectional valve to the patient during inhalation and vice-versa during exhalation. The exhaled anesthetic gases are released into the Anesthetic Gas Scavenging System (AGSS). The AGSS removes vented anesthetic gases from anesthesia machine in areas like operating rooms to eliminate the possible long term health hazards for the exposed medical staff. The seals together are considered the seal kit in the main manifold. They are flexible and tensile. They provide sealing for the flow of gases in the BCG and provide a sealing such that inhaled and exhaled gases are not mixed up. They are easily removable so they can be cleaned. The smooth tangencies and moderate hardness of the seal provide good support to the manifold.
